FAQ

What is Newsblick?

Newsblick gathers messages containing links from the internet (more precisely Twitter) and presents them in real-time. The goal is to give you a quick overview of what is happening in the world from a wide variety of sources in an ordered, clearly arranged and searchable way. Furthermore it helps you discover news-websites and blogs.

How does it work?

Newsblick learns which sources its users prefer and updates the list of sources accordingly. By favourizing and blocking sources you can affect the sources of tomorrow. Thus, Newsblick reflects the overall preferences of its users.

How should I use Newsblick?

Click only on messages from sources you trust. We do our best to offer you a web experience without the evil but we cannot guarantee that every link provided is good. You should be especialy carefull with links under the section Results from Twitter because we have absolutely no influence on the sources that appear there.

Why should I sign up?

There is no need to sign up but it is more convenient. After signing up you can customize Newsblick. You can add a source to your favourites to quickly see the last messages from this source, even if it is no longer in the index. As a side effect you kind of vote for this source to stay in the index. Besides you can block a source and messages from this source will dissapear until you unblock the source.

How do I sign up?

Click the login button and sign up with your Google Account (e.g. Youtube, Gmail, etc). That’s it.
